Here at Scalp Therapy Scotland, we specialise in SMP (scalp micropigmentation) as a solution for those suffering from hair loss. Whilst we don’t claim to restore your hair, we are sure to be able to restore your confidence. Read on to find out more about this innovative treatment.
Although baldness is not a choice, a shaved head is a choice and can make a world of difference to both your appearance and your confidence in how you look to the outside world and yourself. Through scalp micropigmentation treatment, you can enjoy the illusion of hair created through replicating the hair follicle with pigment with the aim to replicate your natural hairline. To see examples of what to expect, you can view our online gallery, and read the testimonials we have received.
Who We Are
Scalp Therapy Scotland is led by Lorraine Connolly, who brings years of experience in delivering SMP treatment since being trained. Our team is based in Glasgow’s south side, with the clinic providing a discreet and confidential location to carry out your treatment. Our promise to you as a clinical practice is that your scalp micropigmentation treatment will be carried out by someone who is fully qualified and fully insured. The pigment we use is compliant with current health and safety guidelines, and pigment pots are safely disposed of after each treatment, along with disposable single use needle cartridges. All non-disposable equipment is thoroughly cleaned.
About the Treatment
Scalp micropigmentation works by depositing pigments into the skin in order to mimic the appearance of hair follicles. The ink is used in the same way as tattooing, offering a permanent solution to your hair loss problems as the dots of the pigment replicate the look of natural hair. We offer a range of different pigment shades, so we can determine which would best suit your skin and look the most natural. It’s possible to treat clients who may have a receding hairline, balding crown or complete baldness, as well as those who choose to get SMP for camouflaging scars, such as those from previous hair transplants. Scalp micropigmentation treatment is non-surgical, so you won’t find yourself with additional scars, and you won’t need any drugs. For further information about SMP treatment, please read the answers to our frequently asked questions, or see how to get in touch with us below.
We begin the process towards your SMP treatment by offering a free consultation to see if the treatment is the right pathway for you, which can be both in person and via email or Skype using photographs or video.
